Yes, I'm a Media Specialist. I will look for some generic ideas to leave for a sub. I can always have the sub read to the children or view a video.

Sounds good. If you show a movie have a worksheet to filled out during or after the movie. If the children are especially young maybe a picture to be drawn or colored would be a great post movie or post story follow up.

Hi - What subject do you teach? Librarian? I can tell you I teach science and I must leave 3 generic lesson plans at school in case of an emergency. These plans are generic and can be used at any time. I cover chapters from my science book I know I will not cover throughout the year. The students get extra information and credit for the work. Sometimes I copy a story with questions and have the students read the answers when I return. They know not matter what work I leave that it will all be graded and they will get credit for this work.
